Changes Coming to Newslink Next Week

A new publication schedule and submission recommendations are coming to Newslink for June and July. These changes are in effect starting next week. Due to the Memorial Day holiday, next week’s Newslink will be published on Tuesday and Thursday.

During June and July, Newslink will run on Mondays and Thursdays instead of every weekday.

Events can continue to be found any time in the University’s calendar. Events will be posted live regularly and will be available independent of the published Newslinks.

With these changes to Newslink’s schedule in mind, University Communications has the following recommendations for Newslink submissions:

• Please submit announcements, events and story ideas at least a week prior to the preferred publication date.
• When sending information about events, submission to the University’s calendar as a first course of action is strongly advised to ensure maximum exposure to the campus community.
• When submitting time-sensitive announcements, please note the Monday and Thursday publication dates and include the required or preferred date in the submission text as a note to the Newslink editor.
• As in the past, Newslink’s submission guidelines as to content, editing and relevance remain in effect. Publication in Newslink remains at the final discretion of University Communications.
• The traditional noon deadline remains in effect. Early submissions are strongly encouraged.
