Kid-Friendly Items Needed for Food Drive

The international students of Saint Louis University are collecting canned and boxed food items that are “kid-friendly” from Monday, Nov. 13, to Monday, Nov. 20. The food items will be donated for food baskets delivered to families in the St. Louis area during the Thanksgiving holiday.

During the drive, collection boxes for donated food items will be located on the first floors of Beracha Hall, Spring Hall and Marguerite Hall as well as by the SLU Bookstore entrance in the Busch Student Center.

The following items will be collected:

• Macaroni and cheese
• Popcorn
• Fruit snacks
• Canned fruit in juice or light syrup
• Pudding cups
• Crackers
• Pretzels
• Canned low-sodium soup or chili
• Beans or dried beans
• No-salt or low-sodium canned vegetables
• Canned meats including tuna, turkey and chicken in water
