Dear members of the SLU community,
As communicated and expected, non-violent protests and disruptions are taking place in downtown St. Louis following the acquittal of Jason Stockley in the shooting of Anthony Lamar Smith.
While some of the other businesses and institutions in the city are electing to close, we see no reason to do so at this moment and do not anticipate that will change In accordance with our plans, we intend to continue to prioritize the well-being of our community and serve our students and our patients through the day. SLU classes, activities, and operations, including Cardinal Glennon and SLUCare clinics continue as planned.
University leadership will continue to closely monitor the situation.
