Continuing Medical Education Conference Set This Weekend

The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology will host a continuing medical education (CME) symposium, "Mastering Concepts in IBD and IBS: New Therapies, New Paradigms" beginning at 7:30 a.m., Sept. 9. at the Chase Park Plaza.
The program will feature:
- William Chey, M.D., Nostrant Professor of Gastroenterology at Michigan Medicine, the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Chey is also director of nutrition sciences in the Digestive Disorders, Nutrition and Lifestyle Program at the school.
- Laurie Keefer, Ph.D., director of psychobehavioral research and co-director of IBD Home at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.
- William Tremaine, M.D., professor of gastroenterology at the Mayo School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota.
SLU faculty members Katie Schroeder, M.D., Elizabeth Marsicano, M.D., and Charlene Prather M.D., M.P.H., are also slated to speak.
The symposium concludes at 12:30 p.m., Sept. 9.
The event is free to SLU faculty, nurses, fellows and residents. A valid SLU email address is required for free registration.
SLU alumni may attend the symposium for $35. Non-SLU physicians and nurses may attend for $75. The AMA Certificate available to SLU faculty is $25.
