Pure Idea Generator Challenge Submissions Due Today

The top 24 solutions in the Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship competition will be chosen Monday, Sept. 25, with finalists moving on to the next round in October.

Submissions are due Friday, Sept. 22, for the Pure Idea Generator Challenge Competition, the first of three college competitions held by the Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship during the 2017-18 academic year.

Students are invited to send in a solution (and more than one can be submitted) for the following problem. Submissions should be sent to ecenter@slu.edu.

"Disney, Red Cross and Microsoft are three businesses launched during turbulent times. What event, product or service would you create to positively impact our world right now?"

The top 24 solutions will be chosen on Monday, Sept. 25. Finalists will be invited to City Museum’s 11th story rooftop on Sunday, Oct. 8, where they will be given a new problem and be placed on City Museum’s rooftop 3-story Ferris wheel for a 30-minute ride.

At the end of the ride, the finalists will pitch their new solutions to some of the biggest names in the St. Louis entrepreneurship ecosystem (high profile entrepreneurs, wealthy investors, etc.) and have a chance to win an easy $1,000 (or $500 for 2nd place; and $300 for 3rd place).
