Roundtable to Discuss Spring Issue of Jesuit Higher Education Magazine
04/05/2018
The April 19 Conversations Roundtable will discuss, “Jesuit University Engaging its Location,” the theme of the spring issue of Conversations on Jesuit Higher Education. The issue features two articles about SLU by University staff and faculty members.
The discussion will be held Thursday, April 19, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Room 254, Busch Student Center.
The spring Conversations issue explores how Jesuit schools are invested in their locations. It features an article on the SLU Prison Program by Daniel Smith, Ph.D., of the Department of Theological Studies, and one on SLU’s 200th anniversary by Amelia Blanton Hibner, of the School of Social Work.
The magazine is published twice a year by the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities.
The roundtable discussion will be initiated by Sarah Coffin, Ph.D., and Jonathan Smith, Ph.D., vice president for diversity and community engagement.
Conversations Roundtable is sponsored by the Office of Mission and Identity and the Reinert Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning. Read this edition of the magazine here or request a printed copy by contacting jesuitmission@slu.edu.
