Firewall Replacement Set

Work to replace SLU’s firewall is planned for Wednesday, Feb. 28. Brief internet outages are expected during the work period.

The University recently experienced a hardware failure of its primary internet firewall which resulted in an unplanned outage.

There will be brief internet outages beginning at 11:59 p.m., lasting until 2 a.m., as the new firewall is installed and tested. Normal service is expected to be restored at 2 a.m.
