The Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU) has launched its Faculty
Migration Research Directory to increase collaborative research between Jesuit institutions
of higher education.
Saint Louis University is one of the member institutions engaged with the new directory,
which also is designed to connect Jesuit migration research with the interests of
non-governmental organizations, lawmakers and concerned citizens.
The new directory is part of the AJCU’s efforts to address the pressing issue of migration. It includes
searchable categories on a host of research areas related to migration, from acculturation
and identity to war and civil conflict.
The directory currently includes 200 members. Faculty members at other Catholic universities
may be invited to join the network in the future.
The directory is open-access, though only faculty members at Jesuit schools may be
listed in it.
An AJCU advisory group continues to meet to oversee continuous improvement to the
directory, including lists of advocacy, educational and service organizations.
