SLU 200: SLU, St. Louis Cardinals to Celebrate University's 200 Years

The Billiken and St. Louis’s beloved Fred Bird have teamed up to rally the crowd as the St. Louis Cardinals host SLU Night at the Ballpark to honor the University’s bicentennial on Thursday, Aug. 30, at Busch Stadium. The SLU community can be there to cheer on the action for a special price including a unique fashion perk and chance for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

An exclusive ticket price is available only through SLU’s Office of Alumni and Donor Engagement that includes a separate voucher for a Billikens-themed Cardinals mesh jersey.

Every ticket purchased before Tuesday, July 31 will automatically enter its buyer for a chance to win a pregame field visit during batting practice. One faculty or staff member and one student winner will be chosen for the chance to take the field while the Cards and Pittsburgh Pirates take their warm-up swings.

The night will feature a pregame pep rally, on-field and in-game recognition of Saint Louis University and its beloved Billiken.

Seating is limited and will be located throughout the 100 level and left field porch sections of the stadium.

Registration and ticket purchases are available here. Tickets and jersey vouchers will be mailed to the addressed provided at the time of registration.

There is a limit of eight tickets per individual registration.

Departments and other SLU groups that wish to be seated together should make those requests through the “Message to the Coordinator” box available here. The department or group seating request must be clearly indicated and every effort will be made to accommodate these requests.

The ticket’s price includes entry to the game, the commemorative jersey and a $5 gift to the University’s Third Century Fund: Alumni Programming and Development.
