Services Set Monday for Honors Program Staffer

Annie Rues Neidel, Ph.D., program manager with the University’s Honors Program, died Thursday, Nov. 15. Michael Lewis, Ph.D., interim provost, announced Neidel’s passing on Friday, Nov. 16.

Services will be held at St. Francis Xavier College Church. A wake will be held at 9 a.m., with a funeral Mass at 11 a.m, and a celebration of Neidel's life following the liturgy.
In a note shared with the SLU community Friday, Robert Pampel, Ph.D., Neidel’s close colleague and head of the Honors Program, noted Neidel’s cheerfulness and her role mentoring SLU students.
“She was a generous mentor to all SLU students, a dedicated teacher and a friend,” Pampel wrote.
