TurkeyPalooza Seeks Donations

TurkeyPalooza, Campus Kitchen’s annual Thanksgiving dinner food drive, has returned, and the SLU community can contribute holiday fixings to the drive on Wednesday, Nov. 14, and Thursday, Nov. 15.
The annual event serves hundreds of Thanksgiving dinners with all the trimmings to low-income families, youth and seniors in the SLU neighborhood who face hunger at the holidays.
Items needed
- Turkeys (any size, frozen or thawed)
- Canned yams or sweet potatoes
- Butter
- Flour
- Green beans
- Fried onions
- Celery
- Bread crumbs
- Cooking oil
- Brown sugar
- White sugar
- Spices
- Muffin cups
- Cream of mushroom soups
- Chicken stock
- Marshmallows
- Other holiday-related ingredients
Donations can be dropped off at Campus Kitchen in Reinert Hall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or contact Campus Kitchen in advance for a campus pick-up by e-mailing melissa.apprill@slu.edu, or call 314-977-3881.
Everyone who donates can enter a raffle for the chance to win a FitBit Ionic Smartwatch.
