King Scholarship Accepting Applications

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Application for current students is now live and accepting applications. Applications are due Friday, March 1, at 11:59 p.m.
The King Programmatic Scholarship is a competitive award granted to undergraduate students committed to social justice, academic success, service, leadership and cultural awareness experiences.
Each of these characteristics equips scholarship recipients to develop their potential as agents of positive social change.
The scholarship has an award value of at least $3,000 per year, in addition to any previously-awarded SLU scholarships, and keeping within SLU scholarship policies. The award is applied to undergraduate tuition charges only. This award, in combination with other SLU merit and/or SLU grant awards, cannot exceed tuition charges.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Be a current freshman, sophomore or junior SLU student
- Minimum of 24 credit hours by the end of the spring 2019 semester. For students with less than 24 credit hours, awards will be contingent on final grades and credits earned by the end of the spring 2019 semester.
- Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
- Good academic and disciplinary standing
- Completion of the application
- Once an applicant begins the application, she/he/they must complete it. Do not hit the ‘back’ button or the application may be lost.
