SLU Theatre Presents 'The Misanthrope'
02/26/2019
Theatre and Dance Productions will bring Moliere’s classic comedy of manners, The Misanthrope, to life as students take to a Grand Center stage as part of an agreement that will eventually see all SLU productions playing out in professional theaters.
Saint Louis University’s Theatre Program, part of the Department of Visual and Performing Arts, partnered with the Kranzberg Arts Foundation in 2017. Under the agreement, all four of Theatre and Dance Productions’s productions will perform in Grand Center venues that the foundation owns.
Recent productions of The Merchant of Venice, Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson, and Eurydice played at the foundation’s Marcelle Theatre and the Grandel Theatre.
The SLU production of The Misanthrope will run from Thursday, Feb. 28 through Sunday, March 3, at the Kranzberg Arts Center Black Box Theatre, 501 N. Grand Blvd.
