Science, Engineering Task Force Hosting Fora

The Provost’s Science and Engineering Task Force has scheduled three campus-wide open fora to present their report to the campus community.
Campus community members, along with the members of the task force, to participate in the open fora at the following times and locations:
- Tuesday, Jan. 29, 3 to 4 p.m., Room 253, Busch Student Center
- Wednesday, Jan, 30, 3 to 4 p.m., Room 253, Busch Student Center
- Wednesday, Feb. 6, 3 to 4 p.m., Pitlyk Auditorium, Learning Resource Center
The task force and provost’s office are particularly interested in hearing feedback from all SLU faculty, staff, and students regarding the five recommendations made by the Science and Task Force, as well as suggestions on how to address issues identified and continue the conversation.
Background on the Task Force
In November 2017, then-Provost Nancy Brickhouse, Ph.D., charged the Science and Engineering Task Force to identify opportunities for the sciences and engineering at SLU to expand their impact. The group conducted their work throughout the 2017-18 academic year and submitted their report to the provost in May 2018. The findings were also presented to the University Leadership Committee in August 2018.
