Campus Rec Hosting 'Healthy Campus Week'

Campus Recreation and Wellness is hosting “Healthy Campus Week” to help the SLU community nurture mind, body and spirit, as a part of SLU’s campus involvement with the Partnership for a Healthier America.

The week features wellness classes, opportunities to learn about campus health resources and chances to raise awareness about critical health and wellness issues.

Week’s Events

Monday, Sept. 23

Mental Health Monday

Stop by the event table on the West Pine Mall from 11 a.m. to noon for mental health resources and to chat with SLU Peer Educators.

Tuesday, Sept. 24

Toned Tuesday

Train the mind and body with a free Power Yoga class at 6:15 p.m. on Court 4 inside the Simon Recreation Center.

Wednesday, Sept. 25

Wellness Wednesday

Enter the #HealthyCampus photo sweepstakes by stopping by the event table on the West Pine Mall from 1 to 3 p.m. Grab some free snacks and snacks as you snap that award-winning selfie!

Thursday, Sept. 26

Turn It Up Thursday

Dance on over to the Simon Recreation Center for a free Salsa class on the back courts from 6 to 8 p.m. The class is co-hosted by the Caribbean and Latin-American Student Association (CALSA) and the Hispanic and Latinx Leadership Organization (HALO).

Food and Family Friday

Join a Healthy Cooking Demo in Grand Hall Dining from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. as part of SLU’s 2019 Homecoming and Family Weekend festivities.

Out of the Darkness Walk

Walk with SLU Active Minds for a suicide prevention walk in Creve Couer at 11:30 a.m. Join the team here.
