Mojave Update Coming Tuesday for SLU Macs

Information Technology Services (ITS) has finalized testing of MacOS version 10.14 (Mojave), and an update will be available as of Tuesday, Oct. 1.
Beginning Oct. 1, the update will only be advertised to machines that meet the minimum requirements for the new operating system.
Update Details
In order to update to Mojave, Apple users will need to open the “Self Service” application on their SLU-owned Apple computer. Self Service can be found in the Applications folder on Apple computers.
- The “Upgrade to macOS Mojave” advertisement will be listed as an available package within the “Featured” section of the app.
- Clicking “Install” will start the install process.
- The update will take 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete.
- Users should save any open files and close all applications prior to running the update.
For users who are unable to see the advertisement in the Self Service app mentioned, they should will discuss a computer refresh with their department purchaser.
