Women's Commission Hosting Paint Night to Honor Past President

09/30/2019

The Women's Commission will host a paint night in honor of its past president, Annie Rues Neidel, Ph.D. (A&S Grad ’16), on Thursday, Oct. 10. Registration for the event is due by Friday, Oct. 4.

The night will run from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in the Allied Health Multipurpose Room.

Painting with a Twist will guide participants through the painting of an iconic building on SLU’s campus.

This night is focused on gathering the SLU community together to enjoy a night of creativity and fun in remembrance of a woman who embodied these qualities. Neidel, a past Women’s Commission president, was highly valued member of the SLU community, who died in 2018.

The cost to paint is $35, and wine and light appetizers will be served.

Donations can be made to the Annie Rues Neidel, Ph.D. Memorial Scholarship for Graduate Students in English. The scholarship was created by Neidel’s family to benefit graduate students who have completed their master’s degrees in English and who are pursuing doctorates in English.
