Mission and Identity Faith Sharing Groups Seek Members
02/07/2020
The Office of Mission and Identity will offer SLU faculty and staff the opportunity to join small faith sharing groups similar to its Mission and Identity Book Club this semester.
Groups will be formed around a book designed to orient toward and deepen a participant's experience of Ignatian spirituality.
The groups’ purpose is to strengthen members’ personal and collective vocations to be men and women for others.
About the Groups
- Groups of six to 10 members will meet once per week during Lent 2020 and they will be provided with a set format for each week's meeting.
- There is the potential that groups will continue meeting past Lent and groups could continue meeting in the fall if desired.
- Meetings begin Monday, Feb. 24, and are expected to end by Wednesday, April 15.
- Book options are What is Ignatian Spirituality? by David Fleming, S.J., and Henri Nouwen's Life of the Beloved.
- An Opening Luncheon will take place in Boileau Hall on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at noon.
- A Closing Luncheon is set for noon on Thursday, April 16, also in Boileau Hall.
