Open Fora Set for Candidates for College of Arts and Sciences Deanship

SLU faculty, students and staff members can attend open fora for four candidates seeking to serve as dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
Interim Provost Chester “Chet” Gillis, Ph.D., announced the fora and shared the four candidates’ curricula vitae with the campus community in an email message on Thursday, Jan. 16.
Candidates and Fora Schedule
Robin Means Coleman, Ph.D., will present on Wednesday, Jan.22, at 2:30 p.m.
- Coleman is currently vice president and associate provost for diversity and a professor in the Department of Communication at Texas A&M University.
Matt Ando, Ph.D., will present on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 2:30 p.m.
- Ando is associate dean in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a professor in its Department of Mathematics.
Ian McNeely, Ph.D., will present on Friday, Jan. 31, at 1:30 p.m.
- McNeely is department head of the Department of German and Scandinavian and a professor of history at the University of Oregon.
Crislyn D’Souza-Schorey, Ph.D., will present on Friday, Feb. 7, at 1:00 p.m.
- D’Souza-Schorey is chair of the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Notre Dame and is Morris Pollard Professor of Biological Sciences.
All of the fora will be held in the Pere Marquette Gallery, DuBourg Hall.
The search committee will provide an opportunity for campus community members to provide feedback on the candidates.
