Get Fit, Win Prizes with 'IronSLU'

It's time for IronSLU 2020!
The University’s five-week fitness challenge covers the distance of an “Ironman” triathlon. The challenge is a chance to get fit, score bragging rights and to be entered for a chance to win great prizes.
Challenge Details
Who: All current Saint Louis University students, faculty, staff and current members of the Simon Recreation Center are eligible to participate.
What: Participants will have five weeks to cover the distance of an "Ironman" triathlon.
Ways to Meet the Distance
- 2.4 miles swimming (16 laps per week)
- 112 miles biking (22.4 miles per week)
- 26.2 miles running (5.24 miles per week)
When: Monday, Jan. 27, to Sunday, March 1.
Where: Anywhere! Swim in the indoor pool at the Simon Rec Center, run on the Med Campus outdoor track, bike to Saint Louis University, run on a treadmill in the lower level of the Simon Rec Center. The possibilities are endless.
Why: Because it's fun, free and a great motivator for cross-training.
What Else Do I Need to Know?
- Participants are responsible for tracking their distances and submitting weekly via reporting form that will be sent to participants upon registration for IronSLU.
- All participants who actively engage in the program and complete the distances will receive a free T-shirt and be entered into a raffle to win great prizes.
- Participants will receive weekly emails on Mondays with information, updates, tips and encouragement.
