Next Generation Protection Solution Coming to SLU

Information Technology Services (ITS) is deploying a next-generation security solution to better protect the University community from the threat of ransomware and advanced malware. 

The new software uses highly advanced technology to protect SLU-owned Windows and Mac computers, including the use of artificial intelligence to identify threats more quickly than traditional anti-virus software.

What users should know:

• The new software will be deployed in stages from Jan. 10-Feb. 21
• Users should experience no change to their computer operation, but could notice the following:
  • Users could be prompted to reboot
  • A new icon may be visible in your system tray
