Campus Kitchen's TurkeyPalooza Food Drive Now Accepting Donations

TurkeyPalooza, Campus Kitchen's annual Thanksgiving dinner food drive, is here. The SLU community can contribute holiday fixings or monetary donations to the drive now through Thursday, Nov. 19.

This event helps Campus Kitchen, our student-led organization that reduces food waste and fights food insecurity, provide over 200 Thanksgiving dinners with all the trimmings to those who are hungry in and around the SLU neighborhood.

All donations can be dropped off at Campus Kitchen in Reinert Hall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or donations can be picked-up by calling 314-665-0324 or emailing melissa.apprill@slu.edu.

Items needed:

• Turkeys (any size, frozen or thawed)
• Canned or fresh yams/sweet potatoes
• Celery
• Flour
• Green Beans
• Fried onions
• Olive Oil
• Brown sugar
• White sugar
• Cream of mushroom soup
• Chicken stock
• Marshmallows
• Foil pans
• Gravy
• Other holiday-related ingredients
