October AI Contest Focuses on Election Predictions
10/08/2020
The AI@SLU Big Idea Group will co-host an October contest centered around presidential election predictions, together with the SLU Poll Big Idea team and the Department of Political Science.
About the Contest
The contest organizers have selected 18 battleground states and contestants should predict which presidential candidate will win each of those states, and to rank their confidence in the picks by selecting one of those states to be worth 18 points, one to be worth 17 points, and so on.
There will be two rounds (as things can change quickly in October), with one set of predictions due by Friday October 16, and another set of predictions due by Friday, Oct. 30.
September’s contest focused on predictive AI and world languages including Afrikaans, Irish Gaelic, Spanish, Chicheŵa and English.
