Windows Patches Coming Out

Windows patches will be available to all workstations beginning Tuesday, Oct. 27, beginning at 5 p.m.

The patches will install automatically without any intervention or pop-up notifications to users.

In the event that the installation requires closing of specific applications, such as Word needing to be closed, the user will be prompted to close the application before proceeding.

Users will receive a popup message once all the patches are installed, requesting that they restart their workstations. This restart is important, and Information Technology Services (ITS) recommends restarting machines after receiving the pop-up message in order to ensure the patches are applied successfully.

Once patches are installed, please check operating functionality on your machine.
