2021 Christmas Message From Saint Louis University
This Christmas season, University President Fred Pestello, Ph.D., and First Lady Fran Pestello, Ph.D., share their gratitude and Christmas wishes for the SLU community:
The end of the year is fast approaching. It's a time when we reflect and are grateful. I'm grateful for the many successes we've had at Saint Louis University, successes that are a product of your hard work.
Thank you for everything you do to contribute to all that we've been able to achieve at Saint Louis University and for all who have invested. Thank you for believing in us and being part of the Accelerating Excellence campaign.
This time of year, Fran and I tend to spend more time in our living room. We gather here with family and friends around the tree. Christmas trees are so magical - that telltale evergreen smell, the twinkling lights, the nostalgia they invoke.
We all need the warmth and comfort of the holidays at this time. We've endured much over the last 20 months and it's time to relax and celebrate with family, friends and our faith.
To our graduate students and our undergraduate students; to our faculty, staff and administrative colleagues; to members of the Jesuit community; to our partners and our donors; and to our essential health care workers at SLUCare; our grounds and building maintenance crews; the DPS and Student Development and ITS staff; from our north campus, our south campus, the law school, and our Madrid campus; and to our alumni around the world, Fran and I want to wish you, your family, and your loved ones a merry Christmas and a very happy new year and let's hope for even better days in 2022.
