Center for Service and Community Engagement Immigration Series

The Center for Service and Community Engagement, in partnership with Kino Border Initiative, Inter-Faith Committee on Latin America and other local nonprofits, invites students to apply to deepen their understanding and activism around immigration.

If students want to learn more about immigration at the border and locally, now is the time to sign up for this interactive six-part speaker series that incorporates what is going on at the border with realities in St. Louis.

Students will learn about social justice in immigration through discussions with migrants and immigration experts. Participants will learn how to be more engaged with a collaborative group of committed students for an intentional learning experience and action planning. 

The application deadline is Monday, Feb. 22. 

The series consists of six events. Participants are asked to attend all six events. 

• March 3, 5-7 p.m.
• March 6,  10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• March 17, 5-7 p.m.
• March 31, 5-7 p.m.
• April 14, 5-7 p.m.
• April 17, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
