14th Annual Senior Legacy Symposium Goes Virtual
01/21/2021
For the last 13 years, the Senior Legacy Symposium has provided a venue for students to share their culminating academic achievements with the Saint Louis University community. This event showcases SLU's commitment to research, creative work, and mission-inspired community practice.
It also serves as a highly anticipated celebration that brings students, faculty, and staff together at the end of the academic year.
The 14th annual Senior Legacy Symposium will be held in a virtual format during the week of May 3.
Selected students will be invited to share their work for “on-demand” viewing by recording a video or audio presentation, submitting a static document that will be hosted on the Symposium website, or simply sharing an abstract of their work.
Students may also volunteer to participate in a series of live, interdisciplinary, online panels held throughout the week of May 3.
Additional details regarding the unveiling of the online exhibition of student work and live presentations will follow in the weeks and months to come.
Each department/program may select up to three student projects for exhibition at this year’s virtual symposium and may determine an appropriate mechanism for selecting their student participants. Common methods in the past have included faculty nomination, a faculty selection committee, departmental symposia, and more.
Departments/programs should submit a departmental reservation form by Friday, Feb. 19 to reserve their spots for the Symposium.
This event is sponsored by the Division of Academic Affairs and coordinated by the University Honors Program office. All communication will be sent from legacy@slu.edu in the weeks and months to come.
