New Workday Reporting Tools for Business Managers

Business Managers and Grants Managers will now be able to run their own Labor Distribution reports in Workday.

This was identified as a top priority by faculty and staff in the Fall. The Office of the VP for Research has already begun conducting training. All users with access to these new reports will receive an email and job aid today (Jan. 29, 2021) with detailed instructions on how to best use them.

A team from Business and Finance, HR, ITS, Research and other areas meets weekly to address user-identified issues in Workday. A part of that meeting is devoted to hearing directly from Business Managers about their experience using Workday. The team is currently working to address several high priority issues, particularly related to Sponsored Programs. Business Managers can expect to see several reporting improvements over the coming weeks.
