SLU Offers Safe, In-Person Campus Tours for Admitted Students
Admitted students to Saint Louis University can now schedule a safe, in-person tour of campus. The tour is a walking tour of the campus.
The tours allow admitted students and their parents to get a feel for campus life at SLU, while maintaining a safe environment for all current students and those working on campus in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Participants enter a limited number of buildings.
“When we resumed in-person tours, we did so with safeguards for our visitors and our campus community,” said Andrea Hitsman, assistant director in the Office of Admission at SLU.
The guidelines for in-person tours are as follows:
- The tours are for one family, which includes up to four people, all of whom must reside in the same house.
- Masks must be worn while on campus and participants must adhere to public health guidance.
- The visitors are required to use SLU’s Campus Clear app on the morning of their tour.
Tours must be booked through the Office of Admission ahead of time. Check out more information at slu.edu/visit.
There will be some upcoming events on select Saturdays for admitted students which will allow them to bring up to two guests.
Virtual Tours
Live virtual tours of indoor spaces are offered weekly on the @SLUambassadors Instagram page. These give prospective and admitted students the opportunity to see campus from home and ask questions in real-time.
There are five different types of tours.
These are promoted through an email to admitted students that lists out visit and admitted student event opportunities that week. These are also promoted through Admission’s social channels: Admitted Student Facebook Group, @sluambassadors (IG) and @slu_classof2025 (IG).
There is also pre-recorded content provided by tour guides of spaces that all incoming freshman want to see, including residence halls, dining and study spots.
