Fresh Gatherings Café + Farm Sells Holiday Turkeys, Pies, Tortillas and More
10/28/2021
Fresh Gatherings Café + Farm, operated by the Saint Louis University Nutrition and Dietetics department, is selling turkeys and other menu items this holiday season. The turkeys are broad-breasted, pasture-raised white turkeys from Buttonwood Farms in California, MO.
The turkeys are raised with no growth hormones or antibiotics, are fresh – never frozen – and not removed from pasture for processing until a day before delivery.
In addition to turkeys and turkey breasts, customers can order large eggs, house-made turkey stock, Hokkaido milk rolls, pumpkin pies, house made masa, house made tortillas and mole rojo sauce. All of the proceeds from sales of the pumpkin pies will be donated the SLU’s Billiken Bounty Food Pantry.
Order pickup will be in Fresh Gatherings Café on the ground floor of SLU’s Allied Health Professions Building on Monday, Nov. 22, or Tuesday, Nov. 23, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Payment will be collected at time of pickup. Cash, check, credit or Billiken bucks/flex can be accepted.
The deadline for orders is 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 14.
