ITS Offering Training Courses for Microsoft Teams
04/26/2022
Microsoft Teams is a comprehensive communication solution for enterprises that helps to connect colleagues via multiple channels and even provides file hosting. It's like a one-stop-shop for the needs of the team.
Since it's a Microsoft product, Teams is integrated directly into Office 365. For example:
- When scheduling a meeting in Outlook, users can make it a Teams meeting with one click.
- Users can place relevant files in Teams to ensure that colleagues have easy access to them.
- Teams has direct real time communication options including:
- Chat
- Voice Call
- Video Call
- Users can leverage a channel chat so that teams can share information to each other all at once and keep everyone in the loop.
Teams is just another effective way the University community can stay connected.
To better understand Teams, ITS is offering one-hour Teams Introductory training courses. These orientations will have a short presentation to cover the basics, then enter the tool to demonstrate these features in action.
Questions are encouraged to ensure that participants feel more comfortable with the tool by the end of the session. To reserve your space in one of these sessions, fill out this Google form.
