Cross Cultural Center for Global Citizenship Seeking Mentors for Audre Lorde Scholars

08/18/2022

The Cross Cultural Center for Global Citizenship is seeking women faculty, staff, and graduate students who are interested in becoming mentors for Audre Lorde Scholars.

The Audre Lorde Scholars Program is an established program at Saint Louis University whose aim is to provide support for students who self-identify as women of color while facilitating networking, community, and social opportunities. The program provides a communal and uplifting space for scholars to openly discuss through an intersectional lens the experiences and challenges that Women of Color face as it relates to race and gender.

The Audre Lourde Scholars Program also fosters opportunities for peer-to-peer and professional mentorship. Mentors will serve as a support for scholars throughout their tenure at SLU. Those interested in becoming mentors may complete this form

Deadline to submit the form is Monday, Aug. 29. There will be an informational meeting at noon on Wednesday, Aug. 24, over Zoom that will review the expectations and responsibilities of mentors.
