Friday Speaker Series Continues March 4

The Office of Mission and Identity's Friday Speaker Series will continue on March 4 at noon. Louie Hotop, S.J., and Brian Strassburger, S.J. will be the guest speakers.
The focus will be “Walking with the poor, the outcasts of the world, and those whose dignity has been violated, in the mission of reconciliation and justice.”
As part of the Ignatian Year celebration, the Office of Mission and Identity is hosting a Friday Speaker Series this spring. The four-part series will focus on the Universal Apostolic Preferences of the Society of Jesus. The event is an hour long zoom beginning with a 20–30-minute reflection on one of the Apostolic Preferences, followed by a time for questions and answers. The event is open to the SLU community and alumni.
On Friday, March 4, the focus will be the Universal Apostolic Preference, “Walking with the poor, the outcasts of the world, and those whose dignity has been violated, in the mission of reconciliation and justice.”
Saint Louis University graduates and newly ordained Jesuits, Hotop and Strassburger will speak about their work in the Diocese of Brownsville, Texas. They are ministering at the U.S. border responding to the pastoral needs in the area, with particular focus on the migrant community.
