Mission Book Club Kicks Off March 7

The Office of Mission and Identity will host a book club beginning Monday, March 7. The reading will be "The Whole Language, the Power of Extravagant Tenderness" by Greg Boyle, S.J.
Boyle is the founder of Homeboy Ministries, the largest gang-intervention, rehabilitation, and reentry program in the world. In his third book Boyle shares how to love tenderly and opens us to see, receive, and give what has been given.
His stories speak of the four things Jesus takes seriously:
- Inclusion
- Non-violence
- Unconditional Loving Kindness
- Compassionate Acceptance
The reading begins on Monday, March 7, on Zoom. A small group discussion will be Monday, March 28. The closing session will be Tuesday, April 12, on Zoom.
