SLU Sigma Xi Research Symposium Seeks Submissions

The SLU Sigma Xi Research Symposium will be held the afternoon of Friday, April 1, as a virtual event. Both undergraduate and graduate students are invited to submit an abstract.
Abstract Submission Guidelines
Abstracts must be submitted via the Google form. The following information is required:
- Presenter's name and email
- Affiliation
- Research Advisor's name and email
- Coauthors and affiliations (if any)
The abstract should be no longer than 200 words and should include topic background, research question, method(s), and brief results. No footnotes or images should be included. Lead presenters are limited to one abstract submission.
All research that involves animals, human subjects, or bio/chemical agents and/or radiation must receive the appropriate institutional approvals. Click here for further information.
The abstract submission deadline is Friday, March 11, at 5 p.m.
Organizers anticipate students will present short flash talks (around five minutes) during assigned sessions. Registration for the event will be required to access presentations.
There will be awards for the highest scoring undergraduate and graduate projects in the three subject divisions (biological/life sciences, physical/engineering sciences, and social/behavioral sciences).

Registration for the symposium is open.
Anyone interested in serving as a judge for the event, should email sigmaxi@slu.edu. Graduate students can serve as judges for undergraduate presentations.
