Additional Reviewers Needed for Saint Louis University's Presidential and Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarships
01/13/2022
The Office of Admission will review hundreds of candidates for coveted scholarships. To help with the process, it is seeking additional reviewers.
Saint Louis University's Presidential and Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarships are more competitive than ever. Since candidate reviews will take place virtually this year, more students are able to participate.
In February and March, the review process will begin for scholarships for students entering the University in August. Because of COVID-19-related precautionary measures, this year's interviews will be conducted asynchronously online.
Using an online platform, candidates will record their responses to interview questions. Reviewers will then view and score these pre-recorded video responses. A desktop, laptop or tablet computer is required to access the platform; mobile devices are not supported.
Reviewers will be able to view and score assigned candidates at any time within the review window. There is no live portion of the interview this year.
Reviews will take approximately 6-8 hours to complete, as you will be reviewing submissions from multiple candidates.
The Presidential Scholarship is a full-tuition academic award which attracts the nation’s most outstanding students for their accomplishments in scholarship, leadership and service. Candidate review for this scholarship will take place Feb. 7 to Feb. 18.
Martin Luther King Jr. Scholars must be committed to advancing Dr. King's ideals, be champions of social justice and equity and be advocates of increasing multicultural fluency and inclusion at SLU and in society at large. Candidate review for this scholarship will take place Feb. 28 to March 11.
To participate in scholarship candidate review, please register by the following dates:
- Presidential: Saturday, Feb. 5
- Martin Luther King Jr.: Saturday, Feb. 26
