Black Girls Do STEM Group Seeks Volunteers
01/28/2022
Black Girls Do STEM (BGDSTEM) is a STL-based organization that provides middle- and high-school aged Black girls with the opportunity to learn, create, and build confidence in their abilities to become STEM professionals. The group needs the SLU community’s help to fill multiple volunteering positions for various events throughout the month of February.
Saint Louis University and Afterschool Alliance are supporters of this organization.
BGDSTEM is in need of the SLU Community’s help to fill multiple volunteering positions for various events throughout the month of February. These events consist of neighborhood canvassing to get the word out about BGDSTEM within the community (about 20 volunteers are needed for each event) and helping out with the Parent and Student Orientations by assisting parents with necessary paperwork and passing out supplies necessary for programming (only 4-6 people are needed for these events).
Interested volunteers should fill out the Google form. Any questions can be directed to Stella Hoft at stella.hoft@health.slu.edu.
