Mission and Identity Spring Lecture Series Kicks Off February 4

01/19/2022

As part of the Ignatian Year celebration, the Office of Mission and Identity will host a Friday Speaker Series in the spring semester. The four-part series will focus on the Universal Apostolic Preferences of the Society of Jesus.

The event is an hour-long zoom beginning with a 20- to 30-minute reflection on one of the Apostolic Preferences, followed by a time for questions and answers. The event is open to the SLU community and alumni.

On Friday, Feb. 4, the focus will be the Universal Apostolic Preference, “Walking together with young people, to build a hope-filled future.” Debra Lohe, Ph.D., associate provost, will offer the reflection followed by a time for questions.

Lohe has served as the Director of the Paul C. Reinert, SJ Center for Transformative teaching and held the position of interim VP of Student Development. She is recognized for her dedication to the care of students, ensuring that their academic experience reflects the Ignatian Jesuit characteristic of Cura Personalis, "carer of the whole person," mind, body and spirit.

Register in advance and a Zoom link will be sent on Thursday, Feb. 3.
