1818 Community Engagement Grant Impact Report Now Available

The 2021-2022 cycle for the 1818 Community Engagement Grant program wrapped up on May 31. A report has been prepared on the impact of the 18 selected projects.

Examples of projects this past year include:
- A collaboration between SLU's Spanish and Nutrition and Dietetics students and faculty to launch a series of "Healthy Cooking on a Budget" classes for families served by LifeWise STL.
- Mental health and wellness fairs for under-served youth and their families to get connected to resources.
- Installation of an outdoor community garden and learning space at Flance Early Learning Center, so children can learn the importance of environmental stewardship.
Overall, more than 1,300 people in the St. Louis community were impacted by the grants, which involved collaborations among 33 different departments and student organizations on campus.
