07/12/2022

As part of the University's annual campus repairs, it is continuing with Phase 2 of resealing and restriping Laclede Avenue between Grand Avenue and Spring Avenue. This second phase will again allow for uninterrupted parking in Laclede Garage.

Laclede Avenue phase two work begins July 22.

The second phase o the Laclede Avenue repair work beings Friday, July 22. Photo submitted.

The second phase will close Laclede Ave from just west of the crosswalk going from Simon Recreation Center to Laclede Garage. This phase will also include closure of Gonzaga Parking Lot for resealing and restriping.

This closure will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday, July 22, and reopen at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27.

This area will be closed for all vehicle, bike, and pedestrian traffic on the street. Sidewalks will still be accessible to pedestrians, bikes, and golf carts — no scooters, motorcycles, cars or trucks will be allowed on sidewalks. Remember if using sidewalks, do not step off into street where it is being resealed/restriped.

Anyone trying to access the Laclede Garage will need to enter and exit via the east end of the garage closest to Grand Avenue.

The University apologizes for any inconvenience while it improves the SLU campus. For questions or concerns, reach out to Matthew Bergman at 314-303-8864.
