Portion of Laclede Avenue Closing Starting July 1

06/17/2022

As part of the University's annual campus repairs, it is planning on resealing and restriping a portion of Laclede Avenue between Grand Avenue and Spring Avenue. This will be done in two separate phases to allow for uninterrupted parking in Laclede Garage.

The first phase will close Laclede Ave from Grand up to, and including, the pedestrian crosswalk just to the east of the Laclede entrance to Simon Recreation Center.

This closure will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday, July 1, and reopen on at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6.

This area will be closed for all vehicle, bike, and pedestrian traffic on the street even though sidewalks will still be accessible to pedestrians, bikes, and golf carts — no vehicles will be allowed on sidewalks. Remember if using sidewalks, do not step off into street where it is being resealed/restriped.

Anyone trying to access the Laclede Garage will need to enter and exit via the west end of the garage closest to Spring Avenue.

The University apologizes for any inconvenience while it improves the SLU campus.  For questions or concerns, please reach out to Matthew Bergman at 314-303-8864.
