Dates Announced for Atlas Week 2023
11/07/2022
The twenty-second annual Sam and Marilyn Fox Atlas Week will be from April 16 to April 22, 2023. The Atlas Program was launched in the spring of 2001 as a way to recognize the international dimension of Saint Louis University's academic programs and to celebrate SLU's role in promoting international education in light of our Jesuit tradition.
A long-standing SLU tradition, Atlas Week serves to expose the SLU community to a variety of international events and programming with goals to increase awareness and promote discussion on both historical and contemporary global issues while celebrating global and cultural diversity. It focuses on what we as global citizens can do to contribute to a better life for all people now and in the future.
During Atlas Week, students, faculty and staff from across the University organize events which highlight global issues. The theme for Atlas Week 2023 is "Chasing the Echoes of Freedom: The Fight for Freedom in the 21st Century" and focuses on how freedom has been taken, given, or disrupted in recent years around the world.
Members of the SLU community can submit event proposals for Atlas Week events online. The deadline to submit events is Friday, Feb. 3, 2023.
