Election Day Is Tuesday
11/04/2022
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 8. Polls in Missouri are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Students who are registered in Missouri with their on-campus address can vote in the Busch Student Center, Saint Louis Room.
For off-campus voters who are registered in the City of St. Louis, there are Election Day City-Wide Polling Places.
Nonpartisan websites like www.vote411.org will help voters to check their registration status, locate polling places, and see
what is on the ballot.
The State of Missouri has a new Voter ID Law, which requires that voters have a Missouri
state-issued identification, like a Drivers License or Non-Drivers License. As an
alternative, voters could present a Passport or military ID issued by the U.S. Government.
Registered voters who do not have a valid photo ID should go to the polls and vote
a provisional ballot which will be counted when their signature matches the signature
in the voter registry.
There will be a Voter Information Table outside of the SGA Commons in the Busch Student
Center for 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day. The SLU community can find their polling
place, pick up “I Voted” stickers, check their voter registration, or get a ride to
a local polling place in St. Louis City or County.
Van rides will be provided by SLU’s Center for Social Action. For additional information, contact Leah Sweetman, Ph.D., at leah.sweetman@slu.edu. The Center for Social Action will also host an Election Night Watch Party in the Busch Student Center Wool Ballrooms from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
