Department of Visual and Performing Arts Holds Masterclass, Plans End of Year Concerts
Saint Louis University's Department of Visual and Performing Arts kicked off the holiday concert season Nov. 10-11 with award-winning Armenian-American pianist, Kariné Poghosyan. Poghosyan performed Thursday and held a Masterclass Friday for local students.
The department will hold several end-of-semester concerts in the coming weeks.
Poghosyan’s most recent concerts include two sold-out recitals at Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall, the second of which was a CD Release concert of her “Rachmaninoff and Stravinsky” recording on Centaur Records.
The Friday Masterclass featured SLU Music program students Antony Steintjes, Maxwell Gao, Han Jing and Serina Daniels as well as high school students, Jamie Decker and Landon Fambrough.
