Campus Kitchen's Thanksgiving Food Drive Seeking Donations

It's time for TurkeyPalooza, Campus Kitchen's annual Thanksgiving dinner food drive. Campus Kitchen, a student-led organization that reduces food waste and provides meals to those who are food insecure in and around the SLU neighborhood, is hosting its annual TurkeyPalooza.

The SLU community can contribute holiday fixings or monetary donations to the Thanksgiving food drive now through Thursday, Nov. 17.

All donations can be dropped off at Campus Kitchen in Reinert Hall or donations can be picked-up by texting or calling Melissa at (314) 665-0324 or Nikhil at (309) 825-6800.

Items needed include:

• Turkeys, turkeys, turkeys (any size, frozen or thawed)
• Canned or fresh yams/sweet potatoes
• Breadcrumbs
• Flour
• Gravy
• Stuffing
• Fried onions
• Green beans
• Brown sugar
• White sugar
• Zip food storage bags (all sizes)
• Cream of mushroom soups
• Chicken stock
• Marshmallows
• Large foil pans
• Tin foil
• Cooking oil
