Students can join in on the National First-Generation Day of Celebration on Tuesday, Nov. 8, on both north and south SLU campuses. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., students can stop by West Pine Mall near the Starbucks or from noon to 2 p.m. outside of Fresh Gatherings to grab a donut and pick up a T-shirt, stickers and pose for a photo booth selfie with the Billiken to celebrate.

Friday, Nov. 11, marks SLU's Fresh Friday: First-Generation Edition, a festive close-out to the celebration week at the Clock Tower, with KSLU providing the tunes. The event will run from noon to 3 p.m.

SLU's first-generation students, faculty, and staff are invited, as well as their friends that love and support them. SLU's friends at Harris-Stowe State University will be joining the event as well for cookie decorating, a hot chocolate station, caramel apples, and dancing. Guests are encouraged to come out and bring their best dance moves.
