Fourth Annual Henry and Amelia Nasrallah Center for Neuroscience Research Symposium Is Wednesday

The Saint Louis University community is invited to the 4th Annual Henry and Amelia Nasrallah Center for Neuroscience Research Symposium on Wednesday, Nov. 2. In addition to attending the annual research symposium, guest can learn about the future direction of neuroscience at SLU.
The Center brings together researchers and clinicians throughout Saint Louis University who share a common interest in the neurosciences, advancing SLU researchers' discoveries in the field of neuroscience that will have a major impact in patient care and in society.
The event is free and open to the SLU community. Doors open at 12:30 p.m.
The agenda for the symposium:
- Welcome - 1-1:10 p.m.
- Keynote and Q&A - 1:10-2:15 p.m.
- Lightning Talks - 2:15 – 3 p.m.
- Poster session and Reception - 3- 4:30 p.m.
- Closing Remarks and announcements - 4:30 p.m.
The keynote speaker is Stuart Lipton, M.D., Ph.D. from the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, Calif. Lipton’s talk is “Hidden Networks of Aberrant Protein Transnitrosylation Contribute to Synaptic Damage in Neurological Diseases.”
Lightning talk speakers include:
- Amal El Daibani, Ph.D. postdoctoral Fellow, Washington University in St. Louis
- Rachel Schafer, Ph.D. candidate, Saint Louis University
- Julia Lanfersieck , undergraduate student, Saint Louis University
