Applications Open for Student of Color Leadership Retreat
09/09/2022
Applications for the 1st annual Student of Color Leadership Retreat are now open.
Sponsored by the Cross Cultural Center for Global Citizenship, the Student of Color Leadership Retreat is a free, all-inclusive two-day overnight retreat for students who self-identify as a person of color.
The Student of Color Leadership Retreat will be Friday, Sept. 30, through Sunday, Oct. 2. The deadline to submit an application is by 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17.
The Student of Color Leadership Retreat is designed to fortify students in leadership roles on campus and beyond while making meaningful connections through shared experiences. Participants will also critically examine various issues that relate to attending a predominantly white institution while living among a multicultural and diverse community.
These goals are accomplished through personal reflection and community building exercises that help students identify as social change agents.
The Cross Cultural Center invites students to join in an adventure of self-exploration, skill building, and discovery on this leadership retreat.
