Three Recognized Pediatric Science Day

The 16th Annual Pediatric Science Day and Research Symposium was Wednesday, April 12. The event featured presentations and three individuals were recognized with awards.

The winners were:

Best Morning Presentation: Hayley Grzych, M.D., Neonatology Fellow
Best Afternoon Presentation: Grace Trello, Medical Student
Best Poster Presentation: Kaley Marcinski, Medical Student"

Pediatric Science Day is an annual event that celebrates pediatric research at Saint Louis University. In addition to hosting a visiting professor whose career has focused on pediatric research, the symposium highlights research involving many aspects of child-related health from all campuses at SLU.

This year's guest speaker was Louis J. Muglia, M.D., Ph.D., president and CEO of the Burroughs Wellcome Fund, an independent nonprofit research foundation accelerating discovery in the biomedical sciences.
