Department of Theological Studies Hosting Book Panel May 9

The SLU community is invited to a book panel hosted by the Department of Theological Studies on the publication of the latest monograph by Rubén Rosario Rodríguez, Ph.D., the Clarence Louis and Helen Steber Professor of Theological Studies at Saint Louis University.

The event will be held in the Anheuser-Busch auditorium in the Chaifetz School of Business on Tuesday, May 9, from noon to 1:30 p.m., with a reception immediately following. 

Rodríguez's new book is titled "Theological Fragments: Confessing What We Know and Cannot Know about an Infinite God" (Westminster John Knox Press, 2023).

Panelists include Nichole Flores, Ph.D., associate professor of Religious Studies at the University of Virginia and author of "The Aesthetics of Solidarity: Our Lady of Guadalupe and American Democracy,", Scott Paeth, Ph.D., professor of Religious Studies and Peace, Justice, and Conflict Studies at DePaul University and coeditor of "Shaping Public Theology: Selections from the Writings of Max L. Stackhouse,"and  Aristotle Papanikolaou, Ph.D., Archbishop Demetrios Chair in Orthodox Theology and Culture at Fordham University and author of "The Mystical as Political."

The panel will be moderated by the Rev. Jason Micheli, head pastor of Annandale United Methodist Church in Annandale, VA, and author of "Cancer Is Funny: Keeping Faith in Stage-Serious Chemo."
